Plant Description

An upright deciduous tree with green leaves. In May flowers appear with large drooping handkerchief-like white bracts. First discovered by the French missionary Pere David in China. Prefers sun/partial shade in well-drained soil. 10' tall x 4' wide in 10 years. Hardy to -10 degrees. USDA zone 6.
